Meta and the Absence of Decency

Meta's business model actively undermines privacy.

Meta and the Absence of Decency

I think Meta's software core starts with the line: "Nothing we create will ever respect any kind of decency, privacy or personal information whatsoever."

Every product decision, every feature rollout, every privacy policy update reinforces this. It's not incompetence. It's not oversight. It's the business model.

When you're an advertising company pretending to be a social network, user privacy becomes a liability, not an asset. The more you know, the more you can sell. The more you track, the more you're worth.

Meta doesn't fail to protect privacy. It actively undermines it. Because that's how the system works.
