Synthetic Stupidity: The Age of AI Influencers
I could at least understand the appeal of human influencers. But AI influencers doing makeup tutorials while people stare drooling? That might be one of the lowest points of human culture.
I honestly don't understand what mankind is supposed to do with AI influencers and the endless noise that AI YouTubers will bring.
I could at least understand the appeal of Instagram or YouTubers to some extent. You were able to see interesting parts of other people's lives — things you wouldn't normally witness yourself.
Well… except for the endless makeup tutorials, or people shaking their hips and doing silent dances with weird facial expressions for no reason. That's plain stupid.
Now they've taken that same nonsense and pushed it one step further — by making AI influencers do it.
So now it's not just stupidity. It's synthetic stupidity.
I can understand people wanting to waste their time. That's human. But this level of mindless consumption feels like something even worse than the screen-addicted floating fatso world in Wall-E.
Watching an AI character do makeup tutorials or dance in leggings while people stare at it drooling might actually be one of the lowest points of human culture.
